Bleubird Sessions is a series of events with local independent activity providers to encourage our community to embrace the outdoors in new ways, with like minded people, all whilst giving back to environmental charities of our partners choice.
Join us on the 20th August in the South Coast of Donegal for a surf lesson taken by the very experienced instructors from Finn McCool Surf School.
The class will last for 2 hours with the first 10 minutes being spent learning about some safety drills and the basics of catching that perfect wave. After the 10 minute tutorial everyone in the group will enter the water and the instructor will analyse your surf technique and help you improve your surf game!
What to bring with you:
All equipment will be provided by Fin McCool Surf School but it is up to each participant to bring their own swimwear.
Charity - Liquid Therapy
Fin McCool Surf School have decided to donate all proceeds to Liquid Therapy who have just opened Irelands First Inclusive Centre in Rossnowlagh. Liquid Therapy where created in 2011 to provide one to one support for young people who wanted to experience surfing but who are unable to participate in mainstream opportunities. Since 2011 Liquid Therapy has evolved from a small, community based, volunteer run group to a Registered Charity with a national remit. Now, Liquid Therapy operates as a registered charity with a core team of staff and a large group of committed volunteers who enable Liquid Therapy to provide a more structured and organised programme of activities for participants.

Fin McCool Surf School
Fin McCools Surf School has been operating on Rossnowlagh Beach since 2006. The Britton Brothers started surfing at Rossnowlagh Beach in 1965 and Owner, Neil Britton, is continuing this legacy through the Surf School and Shop. They aim to give people the easiest and most fun introduction to Surfing possible. After that, they offer some top notch coffee and an awesome shop to experience some retail therapy!
