There is a £10 donation (plus a small processing fee charged by Eventbrite) to book onto this course. The full £10 proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Freeslaves.org.

Bleubird Sessions is a series of events with local independent activity providers to encourage our community to embrace the outdoors in new ways, with like-minded people, all whilst giving back to charities of our partners' choice.

This Bleubird session will take place at Portrush East Strand on the 14th July 2023 from 7:30 pm to 9 pm and will be run by Troggs Surf School. The evening will consist of a one-hour 30-minute surf lesson from qualified instructors as you watch the sun go down over the crashing waves. 

This session is open to surfers of all abilities, from complete beginners to seasoned wave riders.

What to bring

All you'll need to bring is your swimming kit and a towel. Troggs will provide all the other equipment you need, including surfboards, wetsuits, and leashes.

Charity – FreeSlaves.org

FreeSlaves.org is a project by Acacia Projects, a New-Zealand based charity, which focuses on helping to set people free from slavery. There are more slaves now than ever before in this world with more than 25 million people living in slavery. FreeSlaves' vision is to restore people to a life of love, freedom, and joy.

FreeSlaves.org is a grassroots organization that seeks to bring freedom to families trapped in bonded-labour slavery and to empower them to begin a new life in community. They focus on five areas: Redemption, Economic Empowerment, Education, Community Building, and Spiritual Development.

Troggs Surf School

Troggs Surf School has been teaching the art of surfing in Portrush since 1994. As the longest-running surf school in Portrush, they have a passion to share the thrill and pleasure that is connecting with the ocean.
