Charity – The Ray Project
Founded by MSci Marine Biology student Maya Harris, The Ray Project is a charity dedicated to the conservation and research of rays and skates. Batoids are commonly overlooked when creating ocean conservation policy so The Ray Project focuses on research into local rays and skates, and started community outreach events to engage the public.
Their aim is to one day lead the research and conservation of rays and skates worldwide by collecting enough data to develop policy and make real change regarding the protection of this incredible species.
You can read more about their recent projects and make a donation on the website here.
